Love this machine!
This is the second Brother sewing machine I have had. The first one was a cs8072 model that cost under 0.00 and worked like a dream for many years. I used it pedal to the metal every day and it finally wore out. I plan to take it in for service to see if it can be saved...but in the meantime, I ordered the cs6000i and it arrived in less than a week. It is very much like my last one but came with a quilting foot,a walking foot and a large platform! Great in all aspects. I also love the needle threader and free arm for small areas. For the money these little computerized Brothers far exceed my expectations! I suggest if you do have any problems, please read your owners manual, and use good needles and good quality thread. Excellent buy
I purchased this same model 3 years ago this month. It cost about .00 more, but I couldn't be happier. I use it daily. I'm an avid sewer. I recently made window curtains. I mostly use it for staight stitching, but the buttonholer is easy to use, as are all the special feet, the instruction booklet is user friendly and the staff at Brother International is very helpful if you need extra parts or have any questions.

Great for novices.
I honestly don't sew much. I didn't think I could sew until I got this machine. In fact, I bought myself another machine years ago that I gave to my mom, because it was so hard to use. I just thought I couldn't sew.

My son is now in scouts and they have so many patches to sew on. I decided I needed another sewing machine. Wow. I'm glad I got this one. It's so easy to use, even for a novice like me. I couldn't sew a straight line before, but now it's easy. I even made my son a sleeping bag with buttons and an attached pillowcase. I sew all my son's patches and do all the mending. It's so easy. I simply follow the instructions that came with the machine.

Threading couldn't be simpler. There's a diagram imprinted on the top of the machine for reference. The automatic needle threaded works like a charm. The bobbin winds easily and all I have to do is drop it in and pull the thread through and it's done. I remember the days when my mom, a seamstress, would have to thread her own machine. What a pain that was. Glad I don't have to do it.

There are so many different feet that it comes with and all the necessary tools. I can choose the stitches by looking on the side of the machine and punching the button to match and the screen tells me which foot I need for that stitch. Cool.

This is the best investment in a sewing machine I've ever made. So easy to use, lightweight, comes with everything I need, and a great instruction book.
